About Me

Joseph Earl Thomas is a blerd who writes. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in Philadelphia Printworks, Philadelphia Stories, The Offing and The Kenyon Review. As a VONA alum,  Fulbright Fellow, and PhD student he likes the intersections of speculative fiction, Black life, and extinction; in this vein his two book-length projects: Sink, a coming of age memoir about being an undereducated blerd in the city, and a fantasy novel, The Gift From Alondria, are about how these ideas and subject positions both converge and do not. Loves doggies.
